About Us

Paul Ammeen founded SKC in 1986 as a headset distributor.  Paul always said “treat your customers, vendors, and employees like gold”, and that is still core to what we do.  His wife, Sondra, joined the business in 1988 and soon after each of their five children came onboard.  Paul and Sondra sold the business to their children in 2002, and two of the five siblings are still active in the day-to-day operations.  Headquartered in Kansas City, today SKC employs 240 employees in 17 states nationwide with regional offices in the following locations:
