The preferred candidate will have the PCVE certification and be TANDBERG Certified Engineer Level 2. Experience with Crestron and AMX programming is important, as well as training on major brand audio visual systems and components, including BIAMP, Extron, Polycom Sound Structure is a plus.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Senior Video Technician

  1. Provide Post-Sales Technical support for videoconferencing products
  2. Provide Post-Sales technical support for integration clients
  3. Document customer interactions
  4. Assist with video & audio conferences for conferencing services clients
  5. Work within the CRM parameters to track open issues.
  6. Troubleshoot networks including but not limited to ISDN, T-1 and IP WANs.
  7. Demonstrate all SKC approved products for clients and SKC staff as needed.
  8. Upgrade software on existing inventory and installed videoconferencing/ streaming related equipment.
  9. Install videoconferencing/streaming units on-site or via telephone.
  10. Train end users on features of videoconferencing/streaming products.
  11. Travel when needed to assist in completion of installation projects.
  12. Proactively research products and gain understanding of how SKC supported products function
  13. While performing business related travel duties of this job, the employee is required to have the ability to rent a car.
  14. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  15. Provide any other support to ensure SKC operates up to standards on a daily basis.
  1. Develop training materials & provide training to clients.
  2. Develop and provide internal training (to include vendor training) for SKC staff.
  3. This individual must have a minimum previous experience of five years in the service and installation of video endpoints, infrastructure products and streaming products.
  4. Provide direction to Tier 1 and Tier II Technicians.
  5. Manage client escalations
  6. This individual would be responsible as the main point of service contact for a number of key SKC Managed Services customers.

Ability to analyze customer situations, make decisions and solve problems under pressure.  Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and detail.  Basic numeric skills.  Ability to maintain positive working relationships with management, co-workers, clients and vendors.  Ability to communicate effectively face-to-face, in groups, and via telephone and written communication.  Ability to travel.  Ability to sit for long periods of time entering computer data, researching leads, and telephone communication (up to eight (8) hours).  Ability to be detail oriented, work without supervision and must be available during working hours.
